De Burca to front European green campaign

Senator Deirdre De Burca has been selected to represent the European Green Party during the forthcoming election campaign. The Green Party’s MEP candidate for Dublin will be one of the faces of the campaign, alongside the Green Leader in the European Parliament Danny Cohn-Bendit. Austria’s Ulrike Lunacek, Philippe Lamberts from Belgium and German MEP Rebecca Harms will also be public faces of the campaign.

 

 

Senator de Burca, who is the Irish Green Party’s spokesperson on European Affairs said: “I am proud to have been selected for this role and I look forward to the opportunity of representing green ideas and policies to voters across Europe. We Greens embrace a political vision whose time has come. With my colleagues from across the Union, I will be helping to reinforce the transnational, pan-European dimension of our political party and our campaign.
