De Burca welcomes funding for Northside Community Development Projects and Organisations.

A total of €21.1 million in funding will be distributed to Community Development Projects and organisations across the country in 2009, with over a million euro going to Dublin-based projects.
The funding is granted under the Community Development Programme and covers the costs of staff and overhead costs for local resource centres in disadvantaged areas countrywide.
This funding to Projects and organisations is made possible due to the commitment made by the Government to provide support for the Community Sector contained in Towards 2016, and also meets commitments made under the National Development Plan.

“Local groups that will benefit from the funding include: Ballymun Men’s Centre Ltd; Community Action Programme Ballymun Ltd; Darndale and Belcamp Resource Centre; Edenmore CDP; St. Michael’s House Family Resource Centre; Finglas South Community Development Programme; Kilbarrack Community Development Project Ltd; Kilmore West Community Development Programme; North Wall Women’s Centre CDP; North West Inner City Women’s Network CFG and Ringsend Action Project CDP.
